Birlasoft implemented various measures to support employees during the COVID-19 pandemic.
This included setting up a 24*7 helpdesk and an Aid fund, with mass inoculations being provided to employees and their families. Salary advances and paid leaves were offered, while employees could claim quarantine and hospitalization expenses. Sanitizers and infrared temperature guns were deployed to enhance biosecurity further. In addition, various webinars and wellness programs were also conducted.
  • Shodhan: Since 2017, Birlasoft has been working to reduce stubble burning in villages of Haryana and Punjab, helping farmers to adopt sustainable and viable practices.
    The program has been implemented in over 100 villages, covering 70,000+ acres of farmland.
    This initiative has received several awards, including the Grant Thornton Social and Business Enterprise Responsible Awards in the Parayavaran (Environment) category for three years, the 7th CSR award from CSRBOX in 2021-22, and the 'CSR project of the year' by CSRBOX in 2022.
  • Disha: Project Disha promotes school and child development through behavior change, communication, and change agents. Birlasoft supports government school students through a co-scholastic development and scholarship program, benefiting over 1400 students.
  • e-Vidya: e-Vidya aims to support and sustain the overall development of underprivileged girls and women by providing basic computer knowledge. The program has reached over 2,200 beneficiaries, benefitting a diverse group of women from marginalized communities.
  • Preventive healthcare programme for Women: In partnership with the William J. Clinton Foundation (WJCF), Birlasoft has launched a healthcare program for women in Rajasthan to improve access to cervical cancer screening and treatment of pre-cancerous lesions.
  • Employee Volunteering Program: Employees and their families are encouraged to participate in community development projects, such as donation drives, plantation drives, regular connections with disadvantaged communities, and nutrition awareness sessions.
Birlasoft provides engaging and innovative activities to bring energy and positivity to the workplace. These activities, under the initiative ‘BEngaged,’ include Talent Hunt and Tribes, cultural and special day celebrations, virtual games and tournaments, family engagement events, team building activities, and various get-togethers.
