Business Situation
The client has more than 25 production instances of Oracle E-Business Suite for running their day-to-day business. They have centralized their HRMS and Finance applications across different LOBs but to use a combination of central regional instances, location- specific instances, LOB wise EBS instances for MDM, Procurement, Order Management, Discrete Manufacturing, and planning applications. These ERP applications are used by over 50,000 users in 45 countries with multiple languages and localizations installed. These applications are heavily customized for integrations with corporate systems, process automation, and operational reporting. Many of these instances were on older versions ranging from 11i to 12.1 and needed upgrade to 12.2 for the continued support from Oracle.
