Arun Dinakar Rao is the Chief Human Resources Officer and a Member of the Executive Board at Birlasoft. With over 35 years of functional experience across industries, he is widely regarded for his insights and thought leadership in strengthening Human Resources, Learning & Development, and Talent Management functions. Arun has led large-scale operations and brings deep expertise in driving enterprise-wide change management initiatives.
Arun specializes in Strategy Development, Organization Design, Performance Management, Career Architecture and Development, Mergers & Acquisitions, Leadership Development, Recruitment, and International HR. He strongly believes that organizational culture and values are anchored in strong employee connect and transparency.
In his most recent role at the CKA Birla Group, Arun was the Group Head for Leadership Development and was responsible for developing and delivering functional capability programs across the group. Prior to moving into the Group role, Arun played a pivotal role in strengthening the people strategy and enhancing leadership and talent capabilities.
Previously, Arun has held leadership roles in organisations like DXC Technology, Deloitte, AppLabs Technologies, Intelligroup and Mascon.
A respected voice in leadership and talent transformation circles, Arun is a speaker at industry events, think-tank sessions, HR forums, and contributes to publications and leading dailies. He is actively involved in mentorship programs, guiding aspiring and mid-management professionals pursuing careers in Human Resources.
Arun holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Personnel Management and Industrial Relations from XLRI, Jamshedpur, and is an alumnus of the University of Delhi, India.
