Grand finale of the national innovation contest, scheduled for 30th of January, 2016 in Pune, will see top teams present prototypes of their solutions in energy and transportation.

Pune, 21 January, 2016 : KPIT Technologies (BSE: 532400; NSE: KPIT), a global technology company specializing in IT consulting and product engineering, today announced that KPIT Sparkle 2016 an annual national design and development innovation contest received 1,700 ideas from over 10,000 engineering and science students across 500 colleges in India. Top shortlisted teams will exhibit their solutions through scales models and working prototypes at the grand finale scheduled for January 30th 2016, at COEP College ground, Pune.
KPIT Sparkle 2016, in association with College of Engineering, Pune aims at fostering a culture of innovation and critical thinking among engineering and science students across colleges in India. This year's theme for KPIT Sparkle 2016 is 'Smart Solutions for Energy and Transportation' and the best ideas stand to win prizes worth INR 21.5 Lakhs.
Some of the 350 ideas selected for the second round included Green Energy, New Fuels & Materials, Autonomous Vehicles and Intelligent Traffic Management.

Eminent judges, consisting of scientists, industrialists and academicians, will evaluate the projects on the final day and announce the winners of KPIT Sparkle 2016. Teams qualifying for the finale will also be provided with a certificate of participation in the national level competition. The final event will be open to public.
