Raleigh, North Carolina, October 24, 2016 – KPIT today announced that it has partnered with PTC to develop role-based applications (apps) for the
Medical Device industry using the PTC
NavigateTM solution. KPIT’s applications aggregate related information from disparate business systems such as ERP, PLM and Quality Management solutions. This universal data is accessible through a simple, easy to use role-based dashboard. KPIT’s first application is for Supplier Quality Management (SQM).
KPIT’s first app for Medical Device manufacturers is built on PTC’s
ThingWorx® platform and the PTC Navigate solution. This new role-based app allows manufacturers to evaluate and audit suppliers on a consistent basis with a trusted output. The app provides quick visibility to real-time performance, supplier corrective actions, non-conformances, and percentage of on-time delivery within a specified period.
Commenting on the collaboration, David Bartlett, North America Head, Extended PLM, KPIT, said, "Medical Device manufacturers’ data resides in multiple business systems. By leveraging PTC’s ThingWorx platform and Navigate solution, KPIT is able to aggregate data from various business systems and apply our business process & Medical Device expertise to bring useful role-based apps to the market."
