KPIT Selected by UPPCO to Deliver New SAP® Software Implementation and Electric Utility Transformation Project
Pune, 27th January, 2015 : KPIT Technologies (BSE: 532400; NSE: KPIT), a global technology company specializing in product engineering and IT consulting, has today announced that it has been selected by the Upper Peninsula Power Company (UPPCO) of Michigan to implement a new suite of SAP® software applications to help simplify and transform customer engagement while enabling operational excellence and sustainable growth. 
KPIT's partnership with SAP® and deep expertise in the utilities industry were key factors driving UPPCO's decision to partner with KPIT. Leveraging KPIT's packaged, rapid deployment industry solution, UtilitiesEDGE, the project will provide an integrated platform to modernize key applications for customer relationship management, utility billing, financials, work management, procurement, reporting and HR management. 
Through UPPCO's partnership with KPIT for the implementation, the project goals will focus on creating transformational value for UPPCO's entire value chain including:

  • Enhancing customer billing, service and engagement
  • Adopting best practices for supply chain and financial management
  • Optimizing employee recruiting, on-boarding and engagement
  • Standardizing operational reporting with business analytics
