KPIT launches India's first ARAI certified On-Bus Intelligent Transport System (ITS) for JnNURM II

Tailored to address the characteristic Indian operating conditions, this robust solution will enable bus transport authorities in reducing response time to emergencies and enhance operating efficiency with features such as automatic vehicle location, vehicle health monitoring & diagnostics. These features will be managed by the back-end support offered by KPIT at the depot control using cloud technology and remote diagnostics. Additionally, KPIT On-Bus ITS helps in enhancing passenger convenience & security with passenger information system and security camera network system that includes features like facial recognition. The intuitive HMI (Human Machine Interface) is bus operator friendly and eases route selection task, gives alarms & warnings and has a reverse camera display. The product is also equipped with a panic button for emergency and remote surveillance for enhanced safety and security. On-Bus ITS also reduces downtime of buses leveraging over the air upgrade & remote diagnostics of the product.

KPIT On-Bus ITS will facilitate Bus manufacturers in reducing time-to-market of their buses for JnNURM II and will provide them the benefit of a single point supplier for their ITS needs.
