The organization had a complex legacy IT landscape built over several decades and distributed across multiple countries.
Business Challenges
The enterprise faced critical challenges stemming from its monolithic legacy estate. These included limited scalability, high operational and infrastructure costs, and dependency on scarce legacy skillsets. The Solution
Birlasoft executed a structured modernization program leveraging accelerators and cloud-native tooling. An Azure Landing Zone with secure, standardized architecture was deployed, incorporating identity, network, and governance controls. Using the Birlasoft xStart accelerator, a holistic transformation roadmap was defined based on application readiness and dependency mapping.
Legacy monoliths were progressively modernized using the Birlasoft iMigrate framework, transforming them into modular and scalable services hosted on Azure App Services and AKS. Automation was embedded through CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure-as-Code to streamline deployments. Secure-by-design principles, centralized monitoring, and operational tooling ensured compliance, observability, and resilience across the modernized landscape.
