This holistic solution includes, basic software stack (BSW) and new comprehensive AUTOSAR Tool Platform (ARTOP) based tool chain for Electronic Control Unit (ECU) configuration.
After successful integration of previous AUTOSAR basic software versions in several production programs of leading automotive OEMs, KPIT has introduced the world's First AUTOSAR stack completely compatible to R4.0.3 developed according to the Quality Management requirements of ISO26262. This BSW stack is most efficient in implementing safety critical applications for Powertrain, Chassis and Body Electronics.

This BSW includes AUTOSAR technical safety features such as End-to-End (E2E) communication protection, memory partitioning, memory & timing protection and e-gas monitor support. Adherence to ISO 26262 process guidelines ensures efficient usage of E2E protection mechanism and considerable saving in context switching time. Thus the ECU can accommodate more applications as a result of reduced CPU load.
The associated new editor tool is interoperable ARTOP based that provides enhanced user experience in realizing AUTOSAR methodology by enabling generation and configuration of the entire AUTOSAR network system, BSW modules and RTE for ECUs. This editor with an intuitive user interface allows importing of communication data in all file formats such as ECU extract, DBC, FIBEX, LDF and model based software component data. With this tool the user, in single workspace can configure different AUTOSAR version projects and can generate reports based on module harmonization. The user can also perform real-time dependency resolution and validation of parameters. The update function of the tool helps preserve ECU configuration data while changes are being made to system description.
