The customer was looking for a partner to manage the fragmented operations and set up the processes and technology standards. There was a need for Operational transparency and technical debt reduction assistance. The customer was also looking to enhance the tooling and automation and to have a predictable cost model.
The Solution
Birlasoft Solution involves Integrated Global run operations with accountability and ownership across Apps and Infra managing their Production and DevOps environments. The Infra services included Global service desk, end user services, Office 365 & Collaboration, Server support, Storage & Backup, Database services, Application Monitoring, Active Directory, Network Data & Voice Support and Cloud Operations support.
The infrastructure landscape covers 500+ AWS Cloud instances, 125+ Network devices, 700+ Windows and Linux servers and 1300+ End user devices.
The processes were redefined and ServiceNow ITSM tool was implemented incorporating these processes. A centralized depot for end user device logistics and support was also set up.
